Begin your adventure by collecting your eBike at Matiatia Wharf. Our partner eRide’s friendly Waiheke team will set you up on your bike and tell you all you need to know about riding it.
You will then make your way (unguided) to Whakanewha Regional Park where our Terra & Tide guide will meet you by the Koru sculpture at the junction of Carsons and Gordons Roads.
Your guide will help you identify seabirds, shorebirds as well as birds of the forest in our regional park. Spot all the main local species. Learn about their habitat, what makes these species special, and the conservation efforts working to preserve their habitat.
Waiheke is increasingly a bird lover’s paradise thanks to our extensive reforestation and government-funded predator-free Waiheke project, Te Korowai O Waiheke.
After your birding tour (max 3 hours) you are free to explore the magic of Waiheke Island on your eBike before returning to Matiatia at the end of the day. In partnership with eRide Waiheke.
